FISCHER MILL
Clear Creek
____ - 1911
January 20, 1911: "Many of the streams of the county are overflowing their banks and have done serious damage to property. The Clear Creek bridge at Fischer's Mill went out Wednesday afternoon. There is no confirmation of this disaster but is an old bridge, and has stood many vicissitudes, the report is considered as true. It had a span of from 60 to 70 feet." (Morning Enterprise)
February 3, 1911: "The County Court spent most of the day Thursday at Fischer's mill, viewing the bridge site on Clear Creek where the bridge was washed away during the late flood. As this bridge accommodates a large number of people the Court is anxious to begin construction work as soon as possible and are taking steps to let the contract and get it under way as soon as possible. The engineer who erected the bridge at Mulino was on the scene at the invitation of the Court, and will likely put in a bid for its erection." (Morning Enterprise)
