Long Tom River
April 19, 1899: "Notice is hereby given that sealed plans, specifications and strain diagrams and bids for furnishing material for, and constructing a sixty foot bridge across Long Tom river west of Junction City, Oregon, on what is known as the Southworth Lane, will be received by the county court, of Lane county, , Oregon, up to 2 o'clock p m, of the 3rd gay of May, 1899.
Bridge to be covered, and to rest on oak piling; no approaches; all bids to be accompanied with a cash deposit of ten per cent of the amount of bid, the court reserving the right to reject any and all bids.
