ROCK FORD ?
January 26, 1898: "Bridge Work. -- Until Friday noon the clerk of Lane county will receive bids for the construction of a covered bridge across the Coast Fork river below Taylor ford, at what is known as the Rock ford; main span to be 100 feet. with a 50-foot approach on each side. All material to be furnished by the county. A certified check amounting to 15 per cent of the amount of the bid must accompany each bid; also plans and specifications for said bridge."
