July 15, 1922: "In two or three days the Sailor bridge over the Long Tom river just east of Noti will be closed to traffic for a week or more, according to J.W. McArthur, county bridge superintendent.
In building the new highway between Elmira and Noti the roadway approaching the bridge is being constructed at a different angle from that of the old road, necessitating moving the bridge several feet. New approaches will be built and the piers will be renewed, said the superintendent.
The work has already been started, the crews having been sent out yesterday, but it is not likely that the bridge will be closed until Sunday or Monday.
While the traffic on the road is not heavy, it will inconvenience quite a number of people and the work will be completed as soon as possible on that account, said Mr. McArthur. There is no place to ford the stream anywhere near the site of the bridge and to build a temporary bridge would not be practicable on account of the expense, he said." (Morning Register)

November 14, 1962: "Another one of Lane County's covered bridges is coming down, making way for progress on Route F near Noti. Here Darwin Hale, 77, life-long Noti resident, watches as a site for a new concrete and steel bridge is prepared beside the existing structure that is proving too narrow for the increased traffic on the coast highway. The State Highway Commission early this month awarded a bid to Hamilton & Thoms of Eugene to construct the new bridge and its approaches for $58,390."
