East Fork Hood River
March 28, 1918: "Sealed proposals addressed to the County Court of Hood River County, Oregon, and endorsed, 'Proposal for Constructing a Bridge in Hood River County, Oregon, across the east Fork of Hood River near Mt. Hood Postoffice,' will be received by the County Court of said County at its office in the Courthouse, Hood River, Oregon, until 10 o'clock a.m. on the 10th day of April, 1918, and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read.
The bridge is to be a 108-foot Howe truss, covered.
All proposals must be made upon blank forms to be obtained from the County Clerk at his office at the Courthouse, Hood River, Oregon; must give the prices proposed, both in writing and figures, and must be signed by the bidder with his address.

April 25, 1918: "L.M. Bentley was awarded the contract last week for the construction of a bridge across the East Fork of Hood River near Mount Hood. George Barr was awarded the contract for painting the Dee and Trout creek bridges." (The Hood River Glacier)
September 26, 1918: "Notice is hereby given that L.M. Bentley, contractor for the construction of a 108-foot span covered Howe truss bridge across the east fork of Hood river, west of Mt. Hood postoffice, has completed said work and county surveyor, under whose supervision said work has been bone, has filed his certificate of completion of said bridge, may file such in the office of the county clerk, within two weeks from the date of the first publication of this notice.
This notice will be first published in the Hood River News, Sept. 25, 1918, and in the Hood River Glacier, Sept. 26th, 1918.

September 28, 1922: "The Union Bridge Co. has completed a steel bridge over the East Fork of Hood River just west of the Mount Hood postoffice. Long earth fills on either bank of the stream will be rushed to completion." (The Hood River Glacier)
