November 20, 1869: "Mr. Wm. Baird has just finished covering and enclosing the bridge at this place---by the way, a No. 1 job. The bridge is 160 feet in length." (The Albany Register)

January 12, 1883: "Following are the bids made for building the Brownsville bridge, A.S. Miller & Son, covered, $1475, uncovered, $1125; St. John & Stone, covered, $1550, uncovered, $1200. Contract was let to A S Miller & Son." & "Miller & Son, of Portland received the contract for building the Brownsville bridge, which is to be covered, and for which they are to receive $1475." & "E D Moyer appointed to superintend the repairing of the Brownsville bridge."
