(Albany Democrat)

D.A. Wade $972, approaches $1.50.
E.D. Olds $1064.84, approaches $1.95.
I.F. Conn $995, approaches $2.00.
R.M. Gilbert $1188 including approaches.

March 13, 1908: "At our first term, in July, 1904, bids were opened for the bridge at McKercher's mill, on the Calapooia just below Crawfordsville. The lowest bid for the style of bridge we built (the Howe truss) was $1332. We rejected all bids and built that bridge for $740. A saving of $600 on a $1300 job is not bad, and you can rest assured we let no contracts after that." (Albany Democrat)

McKercher Mill bridge over Calapooia river, 162 feet, cost $5,893.10, paid for out of bridge fund." (Albany Democrat-Herald)
