July 17, 1896: Court House News: "Scholls bridge: The bids for building the bridge across Tualatin at Scholls were, T.C. Johnson, $459, C. True $476, A.L. Millard, $474. The contract went to T,C, Johnson." (Hillsboro Independent)
July 12, 1901: In Commissioner's Court "Repair on Scholls bridge:- M.S. Dailey........$185.00 ; J.W. Goodin........$260.00 Dailey awarded contract. (Hillsboro Independent)
April 18, 1902: "The county court has determined to build an approach over the low land on the south side of the Tualatin at Scholls bridge. The 'bottom' is almost a quarter of a mile across. A part of this will be filled with earth and the remainder bridged with lumber." (Hillsboro Independent)
November 11, 1904: "In matter of payment for damages on Scholls bridge caused by fire. It appearing that W.W. Crowder, through negligence in setting fire to a stump caused 75 feet of said bridge to be burned; ordered that clerk notify Crowder to appear on or before the next term of county court and paid said damages, amounting to $65."
