February 16, 1883: "I.M. Bruce appointed to let the contract for building bridge across Hamilton Creek." (Albany Democrat)
April 13, 1883: "In the matter of the bridge to be built across Hamilton Creek. H. Bryant was appointed to make survey and if necessary a sufficient amount of land for the suitable site for the bridge and a road to and from the same, and obtain a deed of the same. I.M. Bruce was appointed to receive bids for uncovered bridge instead of covered bridge, with lengthened approaches." (Albany Democrat)
July 13, 1883: "The report of I.M. Bruce, Sup't of construction of bridge across Hamilton creek at Burrell's accepted and contractors allowed $598 contract price. I.M. Bruce allowed $30 as Sup't of construction of bridge.
Ordered that J.J. Dorris take the plans, specifications and reports of G.W. Young on Hamilton creek bridge, and have J.W. Sutton to do such work as necessary to make it a strong, durable and substantial bridge." (Albany Democrat)
