May 24, 1929: "The old covered bridge between Sandy and Bull Run will soon be no more. The cover is down, and the skeleton of the frame work will also be razed soon. Traffic is now being diverted to the Dodge Park bridge, also the mail from Boring, route 1, and the Sandy star route to Marmot." (Clackamas County News)
