May 22, 1914: "Sealed proposals, addressed to the County Court of Lincoln county, Oregon, and indorsed, proposal for constructing one or all of the following bridges, towit: Schooner Creek bridge, Fall Creek bridge, and the Rock Creek Ford bridge, will be received by the County Court of Lincoln county, at its office in the courthouse, Toledo, Oregon, until 10 o'clock a.m. of the 28th day of May, 1914, and at that time and place publicly opened and read.
Plans and specifications may be seen at the offices of the County Clerk or County Road Master, and at the following places, towit: Dodson Cook's store, Taft, Oregon, and Carl Davis' store in Siletz, Oregon. A certified check for 5 per cent, of the amount of the bid shall accompany the bid. R.H. Howell, County Clerk." (Lincoln County Leader)
