September 24, 1925: "A third crew is putting in concrete piers for a 90-foot span across the mouth of Wildcat creek on the same road, which is a bond project extending from Lorane to the mouth of the Wildcat." (Morning Register)
October 23, 1925: "The laying of the cords on the bridge at the mouth of the Wildcat has been started. The piers having been completed, said the commissioner." (Morning Register)
November 4, 1925: "The new county bridge over Wildcat creek, on the new bond road from that point up the upper Siuslaw river, has been completed except for the erection of the cover, according to Arthur Striker, county bridge superintendent. The cover will be built next year, he said.
The bridge is of standard construction with heavy concrete piers.
J.E. Damewood, who had charge of the erection of the structure, is moving his crew to Disston, east of Cottage Grove, where bridge repairs will be made." (Morning Register)
November 13, 1925: "The approaches to the new county bridge over the Wildcat creek just above its confluence with the Siuslaw river have been completed and the span is now being used, according to P.M. Morse, county engineer. The ford that has been used for many years on this road is now abandoned. In past winters it has been impossible to use the ford for weeks at a time on account of high water."
