1938 - Present
September 7, 1937: "A road has been built to the site of the Goodpasture bridge near Vida, according to P.M. Morse, county engineer. A temporary bridge will be built over the river to be used while construction is being carried on. (The Eugene Guard)
September 12, 1937: "The temporary bridge over the McKenzie river at the site of the new Goodpasture bridge below Vida has been completed and the work of excavating for the piers will be started in a few days, according to Art Striker, county bridge foreman." (The Eugene Guard)
September 30, 1937: "County Commissioner Walter Holland and County Surveyor P.M. Morse visited the site of the new Goodpasture bridge over the McKenzie Wednesday afternoon. Work on the piers is progressing. This will be the only work done on the structure this year." (The Eugene Guard)
October 19, 1937: "The water in the McKenzie river was so high Monday that the county crew at work on the Goodpasture bridge below zvida was compelled to cease operations for a few days." (The Eugene Guard)
June 2, 1938: "The county bridge crew now at work on a bridge over Teeters creek above Dorena will soon be transferred to the Goodpasture bridge over the McKenizie near Vida. The concrete footings have been put in and work on the piers will be started next." (The Eugene Guard)
June 15, 1938: "The plans for the new Goodpasture bridge over the McKenzie near Vida will be ready in a week or ten days, according to P.M. Morse, county engineer. July 29, 1938: "Arthur Striker, county bridge foreman, was in Portland Thursday, conferring with state highway department bridge engineers regarding plans for the Goodpasture bridge over the McKenzie near Vida." (The Eugene Guard)
August 25, 1938: "One of the county bridge crews is working on the Goodpasture bridge over the McKenzie near Vida. Lumber is arriving slowly for this span." (The Eugene Guard)
September 22, 1938: "Work on the new county bridge over the McKenzie a short distance below Vida is progressing well. according to Gordon Goodpasture of that section, who was in Eugene Wednesday. The bridge will be a great convenience to the farmers on the south side of the river." (The Eugene Guard)
October 27, 1938: "People living on the south side of the McKenzie are happy to be able to drive to their homes via Goodpasture bridge which is nearing completion and has been in use about ten days." (The Eugene Guard)
November 14, 1938: "A crew of WPA workers has started clearing for the road leading to the new Goodpasture bridge over the McKenzie river near Vida. The bridge will be open to traffic in the spring." (The Eugene Guard)
January 1, 1946: "The logging bridge above Goodpasture bridge was washed out. Goodpasture bridge was damaged by logs which pounded against its footings on the highway side." (The Eugene Guard)
