February 25, 1873: "An Impassable Bridge.---We are informed that the bridge across Pudding river at Parkersville is impassable on account of the earth at either end being washed away. This bridge was greatly injured last year by high water. This winter it has received no damage except as stated above." (Weekly Oregon Statesman)
March 6, 1945: "County Commissioner Roy Rice and Bridge Foreman Ted Kuenzi Tuesday afternoon examined a bridge in the Parkersville section north of the city and determined that the structure needed replacement. It is old and obsolete and work would be done this month, they said, if the lumber were available. However, they are doubtful it will be procurable that soon and the job is more likely to be done in April. The bridge is about 80 feet long." (Daily Capital Journal)
March 9. 1945: "Bridge Foreman Ted Kuenzi announced to the county court today that he has ordered lumber for rebuilding the bridge at Parkersville from a local lumber concern and he expects work can start on it soon. This is an 80-foot structure declared to be obsolete." (Daily Capital Journal)
