ROBERTS CREEK
Roberts Creek
____ - 1953
January 14, 1918: "County Roadmaster M.B. Germond today ordered the bridge that spans Roberts creek on the Pacific highway south of the city near the Ollie Castle ranch, closed to traffic owing to the fact that the high water of the last few days washed out the middle bent of the structure and therefore the bridge is not safe for heavy loads.
Mr. Germond announced this afternoon that the necessary repairs would be made just as soon as the water recedes sufficiently to make this work possible." (The News-Review)

January 15, 1918: "The bridge spanning Roberts creek on the Pacific highway near the Ollie Castle ranch south of this city, which is considered unsafe by County Roadmaster M.B. Germond, will not be closed to light traffic, according to an announcement made this morning. However, this bridge is condemned as far as heavy loads are concerned, owing to the fact that the middle bent of the structure was washed out, leaving the bridge in a weakened condition. The necessary repairs are to be made just as soon as the water subsides sufficiently to make this procedure possible." (The News-Review)
April 3, 1953: "County Road Department crews are replacing the old covered bridge spanning Roberts Creek at Green with a new bridge with a concrete deck.
The County Court Thursday said that construction of the bridge will take about two weeks. Traffic is being detoured through Associated Plywood Corp. property." (The News-Review)
