August 4, 1933: "Sealed bids will be received for the construction of a bridge over Boonesville Slough Channel of the Willamette River about three miles south from Corvallis by the County Court of Benton County at two o'clock p.m., Monday, August 7, 1933 at the Benton County Courthouse, Corvallis, Oregon.
Requires approximately 4,500 lin. ft. of piling, 18 MFBM lumber, 95 lin. ft. trestle superstructure and two 170' Housed wooden truss spans." (Corvallis Gazette-Times)

August 4, 1933: "There are many contractors who are contemplating entering bids by next Monday for the new $20,000 bridge across Boonville slough on the Willamette river at Kiger Island, construction of which is to start immediately after acceptance of bids by the county court which will receive such bids Monday, August 7, at 2 o'clock. Thus far there have been 10 bids submitted, one of which is for materials and not for materials and not for total bridge contract.
There will be approximately 265,000 feet of lumber placed in the new bridge at Kiger Island. It will be a covered bridge with long windows along each side for light and vision." (Corvallis Gazette-Times)
