North Fork Coquille River
March 23, 1951: "Coos county is down to two covered bridges on its roads, following remodeling of a bridge over the Coquille river north fork at Fairview to do away with the cover.
The county road department reported today that the overhead work has been removed, and that the bridge has been given new stringers and new decking. Griffey and Laird Logging company has been helping with the project.
An oil mat will be laid for protection of the timber now that the superstructure is gone." (The Coos Bay Times)
