HILLS CREEK (MILITARY ROAD)
Upper Willamette
February 12, 1902: "A.N. Stryker has returned from the Upper Willamette country where he has been superintending the construction of a new county bridge across Hills creek on the Military road. The bridge is 82 feet long, 36 feet above the water and is a covered structure. Mr. Stryker says that all the bridges on that road are now in very good condition except the Salt creek bridge which the county court will probably order torn away and a new one built in its place."
