January 1, 1930: "While in that vicinity the crew will drive piling for a 75-foot wooden bridge over Condon creek." (The Eugene Guard)
June 5, 1930: "Art Striker, bridge superintendent, has finished the frame of the Condon creek bridge." (The Eugene Guard)
June 27, 1930: "Lester Lyons who has been employed with the county bridge crew fell from the superstructure of the new Condon creek bridge last Friday, a distance of 18 feet and besides receiving numerous bad bruises sustained a fractured knee. He was rushed to the Eugene hospital and in all probability it will be several months before he will to do a tap of labor." (Siuslaw Oar)
